50 years since the coup d'etat in Chile, in homage to Stafford Beer's Cybersyn, the Chilean Internet prototype, tragically destroyed by the CIA - Keshcology releases Connected. Ironic, considering that free, nationalised broadband, as proposed by Jeremy Corbyn, was considered too radical for the UK.

For your listening pleasure, we present the classic El Derecho De Vivir En Paz (The Right to Live In Peace) by the guitarist and songwriter Victor Jara, whose hands and tongue were cut off by the murderous Pinochet regime, such was the threat that his songs posed to "democratic" Chile.

This is accompanied by a new version of Grandola Vila Morena, the only song by the communist Zeca Afonso, which was allowed to be broadcast by the neo-fascist Caetano regime, played over the radio as a signal to launch the 1974 Carnation Revolution. Never say that art and music cannot change the world. "Poets and philosophers are the unacknowledged legislators of the world", as Shelley put it.

With threats to our freedom of protest in the Public Order Act of 2023 and racist, Tory attacks on the rights of refugees and asylum seekers, it is important that we stress the urgent need for internationalism and solidarity on the part of working-class people across the world. "Attempt at Communication" is a spoken-word piece giving us a wider perspective, from the Big Bang to Tesla's Wardenclyffe Tower. Taking inspiration from Lavinia Greenlaw's, "A World Where News Travelled Slowly", we look through meaningless, throwaway political soundbites, to the bigger picture.

We advocate for a genuinely sustainable, post-capitalist future and for bottom-up democracy. We oppose threats by the ruling class to divide and rule. We defend principles of freedom of speech and of expression, except for the far-right, who would put an end freedom of speech by force. Above all, get involved. Capitalism only offers conflict, oppression and division. Join the fight for a better, socialist future.
